A little over ten years ago, Bettie Snyder handed me a picture of Jules

Fedelus, a student of the Grande Gode School in Haiti. She asked if I would be interested in being his sponsor. With a little nudge from the Holy Spirit, the Lord opended up a whole new world of love in my heart! Each year with the new picture and his Dossier Report, I have had the joy of watching him growing in “Wisdom, stature, and favor with God and man.” He has been in my daily prayers through these years, and the Lord provided me with several trips to visit him and the schools which the GLOW ministery helps. The first time I met him I recognized the back of his head in the Church service. Someone had him turn around and he came and sat by me; and it was instant bonding. Sometimes we exchange little letters, (with help from interpreters). In one of them he said: “Thank you for choosing me. The Spirit of the Lord is on me since you took me. I will pray for you, and you will know. Isaiah 61:1” Yes, I know that God is using the prayers and the help that comes from both the sponsor and the child. Praise the Lord for the

opportunity to be a sponsor!
